AURELIS and the Academy for Guided Imagery in co-operation with 17 other co-sponsoring organizations present “IMAGERY, SUGGESTION, AND MIND/BODY MEDICINE: 2008.” This historic conference will be held as an online webcast that will first reach an international audience on May 15-18, 2008. Participants will not have to travel, pay for hotel or transportation expenses, or take extended time away from work or home activities. Even better, any missed presentations will be available online anytime until July 19, 2008.

Imagery and suggestion are critically important unconscious elements in most health care communications, for they can significantly affect the outcome of many medical interventions and therapies. During this groundbreaking webcast, the originators and long-time developers, researchers, teachers, and practitioners of ancient and modern imagery-related techniques will share their unique and extensive expertise, wisdom, and experience through formal presentations and interactive interviews.

This distinguished faculty includes 25 of the leading international researchers, clinicians, and authorities in this field. These experts will share their most recent theories, thoughts, research, techniques, strategies, and clinical findings concerning imagery, visualization, suggestion, mind/body medicine, and related topics.

Presenters include AURELIS founder Jean-Luc Mommaerts, MD, MSc; Jeanne Achterberg, PhD; Daniel J. Benor, MD, ABHM; David E. Bresler, PhD, LAc; Effie Poy Yew Chow, PhD, RN, LAc; James S. Gordon, MD; Lewis Mehl-Madrona, MD, PhD; Emmett Miller, MD; Dean Ornish, MD; Kenneth R. Pelletier, PhD, MD(hc); Martin Rossman, MD; Francine Shapiro, PhD; and David S. Sobel, MD, MPH. Guest faculty include best-selling crime novelist James Ellroy, on envisioning addiction and sobriety; legendary Hollywood film producer Peter Guber, on the power of MAGIC; and preeminent security expert and best-selling author Gavin de Becker, on “The Gift of Fear.”

Co-sponsoring organizations include the American Holistic Medical Association, American Health Association, Center for Mind-Body Medicine, Institute of Noetic Sciences, CSPP/Alliant University, Pacific Graduate School of Psychology, and Walden University, among others, and CE credits are offered for most health care professions.

Anyone with internet access (dial-up to DSL to T1) on any platform (PC, Mac) can attend, earn CE credits, and register at the lowest conference fees in years. This will allow participation by many providers who are interested in this work but could not travel, take time from their practices, or afford to attend conferences in the past.

Members and friends of AURELIS are eligible for a 10% discount off conference registration fees when they enter the AURELIS Co-Sponsor Discount Code: AUR0508 on the Webcast Registration Form. If you register before 4/10/08 and use this AURELIS Discount Code, you can save $145 off the regular registration fee.
