Become Slim

Become Slim

The more people suffer from obesity, the more they are busy with all kinds of diets. This seems logical: people who are overweight will try harder to do something about it. Or maybe it is the other way around: the more people are involved with dieting, the more they grow fat.

Experts agree that in the long run, diets do not work and even make people fatter. This is obvious when you look at dieting as a struggle with the subconscious self. The subconscious does not want to be changed. If change is appropriate or needed, it wants to change itself. One has to learn the proper language to communicate with it in order to ask for a change in the way that one consciously wants to. This language is called ‘autosuggestion’.

If people were simple and rational, to become slim would be very easy. All one has to do then is to use a bit of will power and to eat less. But people are highly complex and often irrational. This complexity can be used for the purpose of getting slimmer by a proper communication with the deeper self. Motivation is highly important in this. However, if motivation remains on a purely intellectual level, it does not work. On the contrary, the more a motivation becomes lively, it becomes autosuggestion and does work.

It is very important to accept oneself with the body that one has, but also with the desire that one has to become slimmer. In self-acceptance lies the key to cooperation, which is a key to many doors.
